Dr Hauschka Holistic Facial

The Dr. Hauschka treatments use an holistic approach to support the skin’s inherent ability to regulate and heal itself, stimulating the lymph with rhythmic massage techniques that cleanse internally as the products cleanse externally; All are restoring, harmonising experiences.

After application of the facial cleansing milk, a cleansing mask is applied to deep cleanse your skin. Followed by a relaxing exfoliation. Next, if you are still awake, feel the rhythmical movements of the lymph stimulation and décolleté massage. Toning tonic, day care moisturiser, and eye rejuvenating gel is applied to complete the journey.  You leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, glowing.

Oils are blended according to your individual needs and have therapeutic benefits along with the sensory experience. An aromatherapy massage really is a different treatment every time, as the oils are blended depending on what you’re experiencing in the moment. All our Aromatherapy oils are  blended with natural massage oil to leave your skin feeling soft and nourished. 

Indian Head Massage

Treatment involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. A variety of massage movements are used to relieve accumulated tension and restore joint movement. Indian Head Massage is also used to aid the condition and health of the hair, particularly when combined with the use of natural oils.
The massage is concentrated around the upper back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp and face. The head and shoulders are common areas for holding tension and this massage helps to stimulate scalp circulation, tones muscles, and helps to relieve eyestrain and headaches caused by muscular tension.

Full leg and foot massage

Ease away the tightness and tension in hard working thighs calves and feet with this treatment, starting with a foot cleanse then in to a Swedish leg massage incorporating deep tissue techniques with lymphatic drainage movements to help reduce that heavy feeling within the muscles.

Reflexology

 Reflexology is a non- invasive treatment and works by applying pressure to specific points on the feet that correspond to all of the internal organs and body structures but is mainly used to release tension and stress. Stress can be a huge factor in worsening many health issues and not dealing with that build up can create blocked energy in your body. Reflexology works to release this tension and therefore relieving this energy blockage, stimulating the circulation and helping you feel better.

Reiki Sessions

Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’ Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800’s and is said to involve the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their patient.

The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas. As Reiki energies flow between the practitioner and the recipient during the session, the two bodies may respond or react with particular sensations. Those sensations are nearly always pleasant. You may feel heat, warmth, cold, subtleness, steadfastness, or forcefulness. You may experience any of the following sensations during a Reiki session: heat or coolness, pins-and-needle tingling, vibrational buzzing, electrical sparks, numbness, throbbing, itchiness and sleepiness.

Warm Bamboo Massage

A powerful massage similar to deep tissue, bamboo has the ability to release tension in major muscles through intensive kneading.  It is especially effective for runners and cyclists or anyone with an active lifestyle experiencing tightness in their legs, feet and IT bands as it softens and breaks down muscular tensions. It can enhance sports performance and endurance. This powerful massage delivers stress relief, muscle strengthening and lymphatic drainage and reactivates the circulation. Heated oils are applied then the rolling and kneading of the bamboo sticks stimulates and heats the body, thereby dissipating accumulated toxins.  The enhanced circulation moving through the body, heart and lungs also helps to remove stagnant toxins. For those whose legs feel heavy and tight, the rolling and kneading with bamboo will soothe and help to alleviate discomforts.

Hopi Ear candling (Thermal Auricular Therapy)

A treatment that can be enjoyed purely for relaxation, but the process is believed to be helpful for many conditions (sinusitis,  tinnitus, hay fever, colds, flu,  catarrh, migraines, irritability and stress, and may help to loosen excessive ear wax. The treatment involves placing a hollow tube made of unbleached cotton that is coated with natural ingredients such as beeswax, honey and herbs into the ear canal. As the candle gently burns down it is believed to act like a ‘chimney’ creating a light vacuum effect. The flicker of the flame also creates vibrations that massage the eardrum. The herbal vapours helping to soothe and balance. As the candle burns down, many say it sounds like a fire softly crackling away which adds to the overall relaxing experience (10/15 minutes). A pleasant feeling of warmth from both the candle and the reassurance of the therapist’s touch also makes this a deeply relaxing treatment, this followed by a massage of the outer ear, a pressure point and lymphatic drainage massage of the whole face which complements the effects releasing blockages in the sinuses and ears. Aromatherapy oils may be added to this treatment for an additional £5.00
